  • Citation to Daphne Innerarity

Thursday, February 6, 2014. In the nineteen seventies and early nineteen eighties, netball was one of St Jago's prime sports. The girls in green and gold played precise team netball and advanced to the highest level of school competition. Their verve mirrored the personality of their outstanding coach, Daphne Innerarity. She was a cheerful disciplinarian as her girls will attest and honed them into one of the finest teams in the land. Trained in part in England, Daphne taught strong netball fundamentals but set the tempo fast. The results spoke volumes for the Innerarity St Jago blend of Jamaica speed and technical work. Year after year, St Jago beat the best rural schools and pushed its urban rivals to the limit.

The fax line (907 1907) and the Principal's straight line are the only ones that work.
